Stylish getaways in Bali for your next holiday
Bali is always a good idea, no matter how many times you’ve been there.
From luxurious beach houses to health-conscious retreats, here are five good reasons to visit Bali one more time for your next holiday.
Owned and operated by Jakarta-based hospitality company Ismaya Group, Manarai Beach House boasts “a full-fledged beach experience day and night” for those seeking to get away from the city’s hustle and bustle.
Set in Nusa Dua, the beachfront establishment features a restaurant, outdoor lounge and two swimming pools that highlight a mix of traditional Balinese and contemporary style.
To elevate the guests’ experience when dining, Manarai Beach House employs executive chef Stefan Poyet whose 15-year culinary experience included Michelin-starred restaurants Sanderens and L’Abeille at Shangri-La Hotel, Paris, to provide international and local dishes for both comfort food lovers and healthy food enthusiasts. Patrons can also expect to enjoy various cocktails as well as Balinese jamu (traditional herbal drinks) and homemade popsicles while lounging by the beach.
The place is open from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. and can accommodate up to 550 people.

“If you want to have a true “Uluwatu” experience, then this is the place for you. Mandala on the rocks is a surfers dream. You wake up to the sound of the waves kissing the shoreline, sunsets for days, and then crawl up and out in to the big open space living and dining room”. … Read more about @sjanaelise experience on our brand-new villa “Mandala. The Rocks.” here: https://sjana.com.au/blogs/travel/mandala-on-the-rocks-uluwatu … Swipe left to see more awesome pictures about this villa ? … #MandalaLoves #MandalaTheRocks #Uluwatu
Said to offer the best location in Bali, this 465-square-meter villa can be found nestling on the rocks of Uluwatu between two of the island’s popular surf spots, Padang Padang and Bingin.
Mandala. The Rocks, part of a privately-owned residence portfolio, features six clean-look bedrooms. Each comes with an ensuite bathroom and private terrace overlooking the beach. Guests can also expect to enjoy an open plan space equipped with a private bar and ocean deck.
“Our ultimate goal is to create and set the “standard” for five-star villas,” said Ben Jones, owner of Mandala, in a statement. “We are building a brand where consumers will expect and receive quality, experience and service on par with any five-star hotel, with the privacy and discretion of a private villa, in literally the most beautiful locations we can find.”
However, the property’s unique location that requires guests to climb numerous stairs to reach the beach means it will be a rather inconvenient option for seniors or young children.
Other than Uluwatu, the brand also has other villas in Canggu, Berawa and Nusa Lembongan.
Recently opened in July, this luxurious tented camp site sits in Ubud’s rainforest, rice terraces and the sacred Wos river. Said to be inspired by the 1800s-era European settlers, the property features 22 one-bedroom tents and a two-bedroom lodge; each comes with its own private salt water pool.
Thanks to the convenient surroundings, Capella Ubud allows guests to join either outdoor excursions or a pampering session of spa treatments. Dining experiences are also interesting because of the choices of restaurants available, which include Mads’ Lounge with its seasonal ingredients and Api Jiwa that highlights Asian barbecue food.
For those seeking to reconnect with their travel companion, the place offers a 24-hour program from sunrise to sunrise that begins with a Balinese holy water ritual and pranayama yoga on the tent’s private deck, followed by self-healing through Swadistana Cakra Balancing, pampering through Senja Sunyi massage, Camp Roast Dinner and ends with a purification ritual at Wos Beji River Temple.
